DEVELOPING CAREERS

Since opening in 1988, the laboratory has trained many dental technicians that have gone on to build careers at the laboratory, with some going on to run their own dental lab businesses. Part of our responsibility to this sector is to set the next generation on their new career path.

We currently have apprentices within our teams, learning about the science and art of dental appliance manufacturing. We are proud of our story and want to keep supporting new dental technicians.

In recent years, development in digital technology has become a key part of our operation, enabling us to produce better results with a higher degree of accuracy. But the skill and art, the human touch are still key components.

Being a dental technician is a fascinating and varied role where you can find your passion and become an “expert” in your chosen area. Whether you’re a technologically-minded person that enjoys the intricate building and manufacture processes of CAD/CAM technology. Maybe you prefer the artistry and detail of ceramics. Or perhaps you like prosthetic work because of the hands-on nature of denture production. Whatever you prefer, if you love your job, it shows in your work.
